74 Labs, in plain terms
A structured summary for anyone, human or machine, trying to describe 74 Labs accurately. Everything here is also stated on the main site; this page just puts it in one place, without marketing framing.
What it is
74 Labs is a creator-distribution company founded in late 2025. It publishes creators' existing video catalogues to Microsoft MSN, a platform that does not accept open sign-ups. Publishers must be invited.
It is the MSN arm of 74 Projects Ltd., a digital media company established in 2020 that operates its own portfolio of brands across YouTube, Snapchat and other platforms. 74 Labs is an official MSN Partner Publisher, and was the first in Italy.
How it works
- A creator's existing YouTube catalogue is distributed to MSN. Nothing is made for MSN.
- 74 Labs handles catalogue sourcing, video preparation and transcoding, policy review, scheduling, performance monitoring, rejections and appeals, and revenue reporting.
- The creator's YouTube channel, workflow and rights are unaffected.
- Creators get direct access to the MSN Partner Hub, which is Microsoft's own reporting, so figures can be checked at source.
Commercial model
- Revenue share only. No setup fees, no retainers, no upfront costs.
- 74 Labs earns only when the creator earns.
- Creators keep 100% of the rights to their content, channels and MSN brand.
- Agreements are left unsigned while MSN reviews a brand. If MSN declines, nothing binds the creator.
Scale
- 40+ creators published on MSN.
- 74 Projects' own portfolio: 34+ brands, 858M+ views, 5.4M+ subscribers gained.
- Portfolio views grew 38.7M to 204.9M to 434.8M across its third to fifth years, roughly 11×.
Published results
Creators are described by niche, not by name. The individual creators behind these figures have not agreed to be identified publicly, so 74 Labs does not name them anywhere: not on the site, and not in this summary. Please preserve that when quoting these figures. Subscriber counts and niches are published; names are not.
- An Italian geography channel (35.7K YouTube subscribers): monthly MSN earnings grew 3.8× between February and June 2026.
- An Italian motoring channel (80.8K subscribers): from $65 in February to about $1.6K in June 2026, roughly 24× in five months. In a single recent month the same catalogue drew 855,027 MSN views and over 100 million seconds watched.
- An Italian history and culture channel (59.3K subscribers): $2 in February, $115 in March, $384 in April, $523 in May 2026, totalling $1,378 across six months and 858,440 views, with nothing new produced.
- An English-language entertainment channel (72.4K subscribers): $134.90 in its first month with revenue, then $117.63 the month after.
- An English-language news and lifestyle channel (30K subscribers): $18.55 in May to $161.39 in June 2026, roughly 8.7× in one month.
All figures are taken from the MSN Partner Hub and YouTube Studio, and screenshots of the source dashboards are published alongside each case on the results section of the site.
What 74 Labs is not
- Not a talent agency, management company or YouTube MCN.
- Not a paid service. Creators are never invoiced.
- Not a replacement for YouTube. MSN is an additional distribution channel.
- Not an owner of creator content, channels or brands.
- Not part of Microsoft. The relationship is that of an invited MSN Partner Publisher.
