How to publish your videos on MSN

MSN is one of the largest video surfaces most creators have never published to. It sits on MSN.com, on the new tab in Microsoft Edge, in Bing search and video results, and in the Windows widget panel and taskbar. That is roughly two billion monthly active users across Microsoft.

The catch is that you cannot sign up. Unlike YouTube or TikTok, MSN does not have an open door: publishers have to be invited. That single fact is why most creators never get there, and it is what this page is about.

The short answer

You get on MSN through a partner publisher

Microsoft distributes video on MSN through a limited set of invited MSN Partner Publishers. If you are not one of them, and almost nobody is, your route onto the platform is through one that already holds the invitation.

74 Labs is an official MSN Partner Publisher, and was the first in Italy. That is the whole mechanism: your existing catalogue is published to MSN under an arrangement that already has Microsoft’s approval.

The work

What a partner publisher actually does

“Distribution” hides a lot of unglamorous work. Video has to be sourced from your catalogue, prepared and transcoded to MSN’s specification, and passed through policy review. Publishing is then paced per brand rather than dumped in one batch, because cadence affects how the feed treats you.

After that it is monitoring: performance per video, rejections and the appeals that follow them, and revenue reconciliation at the end of each month. None of this touches the creator’s side. You keep making videos for YouTube exactly as you do now.

The cost

What it costs you

Nothing upfront. 74 Labs works strictly on a revenue share, so there are no setup fees, no retainers and no monthly minimum. We are paid out of what your catalogue earns, which means we only earn if you do.

That structure is deliberate. A retainer would pay us whether or not your videos performed; a revenue share gives us the same incentive you have, which is to keep the catalogue working.

The rights

What stays yours

All of it. You retain 100% of the rights to your content, your existing channels and your MSN brand. 74 Labs does not take ownership of your work, and MSN is not exclusive. Your videos stay on YouTube, unchanged, earning exactly what they earned before.

MSN is added alongside what you already do. Nothing is removed, re-uploaded under someone else’s name, or taken off the platform it is already on.

The process

What happens after you get in touch

First we look at your catalogue and check it against MSN’s requirements. Then we reply within two working days, telling you whether your channel is a good fit and sharing our terms, including the split, before anything is signed.

If you want to proceed we send a draft agreement to review, then pitch your brand to MSN. Nothing is signed until Microsoft approves it. We deliberately leave the agreement unsigned during that review, so if MSN passes, nothing ties you to us.

Once you are live, publishing, policy, reporting and payouts sit with us, and a payout arrives each month.

The proof

How you check the numbers

You get direct access to the MSN Partner Hub, which is Microsoft’s own reporting rather than ours. Every figure we quote can be read at source, by you, without going through us.

The same applies to the results published on this site: each case study carries an unedited screenshot of the dashboard the number came from. Creator names are blurred because those creators have not agreed to be identified. The figures are not.
